Raelene Christ completed her Optometry degree from the Queensland University of Technology in 2001 with First Class Honours and was awarded the Optometry Australia (Qld and NT Division) Clinical Excellence Award. Raelene worked for several years in both corporate and independent Optometry practices, and completed a Graduate Certificate in Ocular Therapeutics in 2005.
Her particular interest in therapeutics led to her joining Eyes Wide Bay in 2013 as a Clinical Optometrist involved in the co-management of ocular disease including anterior segment disease, glaucoma, macular and retinal disease. Raelene is also very involved with the training of medical students in fundoscopy and eye skills, and co-ordinates continuing education evenings for local Optometrists and medical students.
